Nissan has announced pricing for its boxy Cube wagon, which will start at $13,990. Pricing for the 1.8S and 1.8SL trim levels was not disclosed. All models will use a 122-hp, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine.
The Cube will hold five passengers, with a generous amount of interior room and good fuel economy -- Nissan claims over 30 mpg on the highway. Much like the youth-targeted Scion vehicles, the Cube can be personalized through the local dealer with more than 40 individual accessories such as a 20-color interior illumination kit and “shag carpeting” instrument panel inserts, aerodynamic body kits, and custom 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.
The Cube has been sold in Japan for 10 years; the latest version will hit U.S. dealerships in early May. Nissan has announced a reservation program that will begin later this month after the full line and option pricing is released.
