NewspaperSupreme Court approves New Chrysler to move forward After the sale of Chrysler to a Fiat-led group to form a “new” Chrysler was approved in federal court, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a stay on Monday to allow time to review outstanding appeals. Last day for 789 Chrysler dealers
Chrysler received court approval today to reject 789 dealer contracts, cutting a quarter of its U.S. dealerships effectively immediately. Those dealers had been notified on May 14th. [Automotive News, Consumer Reports]

House OKs “Cash for clunkers”
With a strong majority, House members approved a $4 billion “Cash for clunkers” program that would provide consumers with a voucher worth up to $4,500 to trade in an older, gas guzzler for a new, fuel-efficient model. New GPS navigation apps for iPhone
