Looking to add a little personality to your co-pilot? If you are bored with the standard car icon on your GPS, Garmin offers personalized icons that you can download for free. For a seasonal makeover, you can choose a holiday bundle that includes icons such as a train, sled, present, reindeer, Christmas tree, lights, and winter activities such as snowboarding, tubing, and shoveling.

All you need to do is connect your Garmin to your computer and download the bundle onto the Garmin drive. You change the ride in the settings menu. If the icon isn’t enough fun for you, then you can also download the high-pitched voice of Elfred by using the Garmin Communicator Plug-in. The voice installs on the unit and can be easily turned off.

The bundles are compatible with the nuvifone G60, nuvi series, zumo series, StreetPilot c510, c530, c550 and c580. However, Elfred is not compatible with the nuvi 300 or 600 series.
