Dec 1, 2009 3:36 PM
2011-Chevrolet-Cruze-pr-f The 2009 LA Auto Show is set to open its doors to the automotive media tomorrow, December 2nd. As the first major event of the new-car show season, the LA Auto Show provides a sneak-peek at 2010 and 2011 models coming down the road, as well as future car concepts in the works.

Over two media days, we expect to see 30 world and North American debuts, including a dozen concept vehicles. Some of the models scheduled to debut include the Buick Regal, Cadillac CTS Coupe, Chevrolet Cruze, Dodge Viper, Ford Fiesta, Hyundai Tucson, Mazda 2, and Toyota Sienna. While many manufacturers have formally announced their vehicles ahead of time, there are a number of models that will be surprise announcements.

We will be on hand to cover the event, sharing first impressions, insights, and photos of the most significant models in the Cars blog and in the special 2009 LA Auto Show section. The show coverage will be updated continuously throughout the week as information and images become available, so check back often to catch up on the news. Also, be sure to share your impressions of the models unveiled in the blog comments.

You can follow LA-specific blog posts here, and catch Tweets from the field via @CReporter.

If you’re in the LA area, the show opens to the public on Friday.
