A few recalls have been announced recently that affect the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Kawasaki Ninja 250 motorcycle, Land Rover Range Rover, and Subaru WRX. If your vehicle is listed here, the manufacturer should contact you. Phone numbers are listed below if you have questions for the company.
2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Jeep is recalling almost 3,000 2010 Grand Cherokees due to a problem with the deployment of the passenger-side airbag. The airbag may not properly protect the passenger in a crash because it may not deploy properly through the instrument panel seam.
Dealers will replace the top cover of the instrument panel for free. Owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.
2009-2010 EX250 Ninja 250 motorcycles
Kawasaki is recalling the Ninja 250 motorcycles due to a problem with the porosity in the engine case that could allow oil to leak. If this occurs, the oil could be deposited on the rear tire and create the risk of a crash.
Dealers will inspect and check for leaks and be repaired free of charge. Owners may contact Kawasaki at 1-866-802-9381.
2010 Land Rover Range Rover
Land Rover is recalling over 4,000 2010 Range Rovers for a problem with the airbag warning lamp. The airbag warning lamp may illuminate on the instrument cluster. If that occurs, the passenger airbag will be disabled and deployment of the airbag may not occur in the event of a crash.
Dealers will update the software with a patch free of charge. Owners may contact Jaguar Land Rover at 1-800-452-4827.
2002-2003 Subaru Impreza WRX
Subaru is recalling over 5,500 2002-2003 Impreza WRX vehicles sold or registered in certain cold-weather states. During cold starts in cold temperatures, fuel leaks in the line could occur where it connects with a rubber hose and could result in a fire. This affects vehicles in Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
Dealers will replace the fuel line free of charge. Owners can contact Subaru at 1-800-782-2783.
