2008-2009 Chrysler Town & Country/Dodge Grand Caravan

Chrysler is recalling over 284,000 minivans because the vehicle may have been built with a wire harness that has been improperly routed. If this occurs, the lower sliding door hinge bracket may wear through the wire insulation, which could cause a short circuit in the door, potentially overheating the latch, and leading to a possible fire.

For more information, contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.

2007-2010 Jeep Wrangler

Chrysler is recalling almost 289,000 Jeep Wrangler vehicles due to a problem with the front inner fender liners that could rub against the brake tubes and cause a leak in the brake fluid. If this occurs, the vehicle could experience a partial loss of braking and increase the risk of a crash.

GM is recalling over 1,365,000 cars, SUVs, and trucks equipped with a heated washer fluid system (HWFS). The recall was implemented in 2008 and dealers added a fuse to the control circuit harness to address an electrical short, but there have been new reports of incidents to the modules after the fix. Thermal incidents on HWFS modules have occurred and results vary from minor distortion to melting of the plastic around the HWFS fluid chamber. If this occurs, the module may ignite and catch fire.

Dealers will permanently disable and remove the heated washer fluid module. Owners will also receive a new page for their owner’s manual indicating the change.
