First look video: 2011 Mazda2
Aug 10, 2010 11:49 AM
There's a new and growing class of cars that is one size down from small cars such as the Honda Civic. The latest entry into the ring is the new Mazda2. With a starting price of under $14,000, it clearly undercuts the larger Mazda3, but it still retains much of the fun of its older sibling.

The Mazda2 has been sold overseas since 2008 as a three- and five-door hatchback, but only the five-door version will be sold here. Power comes from a 102-hp, 1.5-liter four cylinder engine. A five-speed manual transmission is be standard, with a four-speed automatic optional.

Take a look at our video as we take a first look at the Mazda2. While you'll have to wait until we fully test a car for the complete insights, we thought you might enjoy getting a flavor for the car right now. We know we did.
