A few recalls have been announced recently affecting Jaguar, Land Rover, and Volvo vehicles. If your model is listed here, the manufacturer should notify you of the recall and provide the fixes at no charge. Customer-service phone numbers are listed below, if you have questions.

2010-2011 Jaguar XJ

Jaguar is recalling over 6,400 XJ sedans for problems with the windshield wipers. The wiper arms were not torqued to proper specification and could fail to perform correctly. As a result, the wipers could lose synchronization and clash together. If this occurs, driver visibility could be reduced and increase the risk of a crash. Dealers will check the fit of the wipers and adjust the torque free of charge. Owners may contact Jaguar at 1-800-637-6837.

2010-2011 Land Rover LR2

Land Rover is recalling over 2,900 LR2 trucks due to a problem with the driver air bag. The shorting bar in the clock spring may become disconnected when the air bag connector is installed. If this occurs the air bag may not deploy properly. This recall affects LR2 models manufactured between November 12, 2009 and August 23, 2010. Dealers will install a spacer in the driver’s air bag clock spring connector free of charge. Owners may contact Land Rover at 1-800-637-6837.

2011 Volvo S60, S80, XC60, XC70

Volvo is recalling over 6,000 S60, S80, XC60, and XC70 models due to a problem with the engine control module. The software calibration for the fuel cut-off function is too sensitive and may cause the engine to stall suddenly.

Dealers will update the engine control modules with new software.

Owners may contact Volvo at 1-800-458-1552 or customercare@volvoforlife.com.
