Long known for hatchbacks, Dutch-owned Saab has revealed its latest hatch ahead of its official Geneva Motor Show appearance in March, the 9-5 SportCombi.
It features a sloping, programmable-height, power liftgate that opens to a cargo area almost 6.5-feet long when the rear seats are folded. The load floor tumbles forward in sections to reveal a storage area underneath, which varies in depth depending on whether you order the car with a space-saver spare or not. A U-shaped track allows cargo to be tied down, and a telescoping partition can divide the cargo area.
The SportCombi offers the same turbocharged, 220-hp four-cylinder engine and 300-hp V6 as the 9-5 sedan. All-wheel-drive is available.
