In the wake of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that recently hit the Japanese coast, coupled with a rising yen, Toyota has announced that prices are going up on most 2011 Lexus, Scion, and Toyota models.
With some parts in short supply, shoppers can expect to pay an average of about 1.7 percent more for some popular models, which works out to about a $65 hike for the Scion xD subcompact, and as much as $900 for the large Toyota Land Cruiser and Sequoia SUVs.
The good news is that some prices are not going up, at least for now. If you're shopping for a Tacoma pickup, Yaris sedan, Scion tC sports coupe or xB wagon, or a Lexus CT 200h hybrid, you're in luck. But the automaker is making no promises on how long those models will be unaffected.
