At the 2012 Chicago Auto Show, Kia unveiled a fully-loaded Optima sedan, the SX Limited, that will sit at the top of the sedan’s trim-line offerings. The SX Limited will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine delivering 274 horsepower, with fuel economy rated at 22 mpg city and 34 mpg highway. We have found this four-cylinder to be both economical and powerful, but not as refined as some competitors' V6 engines.
This well-equipped, performance-oriented model features a lower bumper design, sport-tuned suspension, HID lights, LED daytime running lights, chrome-accented rear spoiler, 18-inch wheels, steering wheel paddle shifters, and sunroof. There is also a four-way power passenger seat, driver memory seat, heated and cooled front seats, and heated rear seats. Navigation with backup camera and satellite radio is also standard.
Inside the cabin there are wood accents on the steering wheel and interior trim. The upscale feel is further conveyed with leather on the seats, door panels, and center armrest.
The Optima SX Limited hits dealerships in March.
