DTV-reminder commercials generate 55,000 inquiry calls

The DTV soft test run last Thursday by the National Association of Broadcasters as a “wake up call” to digital-unready consumers prompted 55,000 calls, the agency reported. The majority of the calls were placed in Chicago and New York and mainly concerned the government coupon program and various technical and setup problems.
