Back in August, the Web was abuzz with the possibility of a Verizon's first Android-powered phone, called the Motorola Sholes. Today Verizon and Google confirmed that Android phones are, indeed, coming to the nation's largest carrier. Neither the phones nor the timing for deployment were mentioned at the press conference, but with the HTC Hero we previewed coming to Sprint on October 11th, we believe Verizon's Google will be close behind.
