In an effort to kick-start electronics shopping for the holidays, beginning this Saturday (December 12) at 8:00 a.m. Walmart is rolling back prices on some high-definition products during a week of special savings.

Walmart is also continuing its ad match program, which will match the price printed in any local competitor's ad for an identical product.

Among the on-sale items:

Walmart will offer more deals starting Sunday, December 13, including a $300 Toshiba laptop computer, and an Xbox Elite video game system that comes with a $50 Walmart gift card. Like it did during Thanksgiving, the chain will also offer a specially priced meal package for the holidays: a smoked-ham dinner for eight for Christmas for less than $30.

You can get more info about these special offers on the Walmart Web site. —James K. Willcox
