podcast: Consumer Reports

It seems that cell phones and smart phones have a lot of handy features—the bells and whistles that have made these mobile devices our primary means of keeping connected. But if you still rely on landline telephone service at home, the latest cordless phones have some nifty features as well.

In last week's "Into Tomorrow with Dave Graveline," Senior Editor Mike Gikas highlighted some of the top-performing cordless phones that have come through our lab recently. You can listen (by clicking on this link) to this Sound Byte podcast and hear Mike discuss cordless phones which feature:

  • The best voice quality
  • Improved handset battery life
  • Wireless connections that allow them to work with your cell phone

More details about these phones can be found in our Lab Test: Top cordless phones report (available to subscribers) found in the October 2010 issue of Consumer Reports.

You can also find our free cordless phone buying advice, and our latest Ratings of Cordless phones and list of Recommended cordless phone models (both available to subscribers) on the Consumer Reports website.

Until next week... Happy weekend, everyone!
