Cyber Monday TV deals: Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and Sears

In the wake of Black Friday, "Cyber Monday" has arrived, and not surprisingly, TVs are being featured by several leading retailers. Here is a quick look at the advertised specials offered by Walmart, Target, Best Buy and Sears:

Walmart
At Walmart's Cyber Week sale, you can get a 42-inch Element 1080p LCD TV (ELEFT422) with an LED backlight for $499, or a 42-inch 1080p Element LCD TV (ELDTW422) with a conventional fluorescent backlight for $449. The chain also has a 42-inch RCA-brand plasma (42PA30RQ), a 720p set, for $419, and a 40-inch Apex 1080p LCD TV (LD4086) for $399.

Among the larger sets are a 50-inch Element 720p plasma (ELPCFT501) for $549, a 46-inch Viore 1080p LCD set (LC46VF60) for $548, and Panasonic's 50-inch 1080p plasma (TC-P50S2) for $848.

Those looking for a smaller set could consider Samsung's 32-inch 720p LCD TV with an LED backlight (UN32C4000PD) for $498, a 26-inch 720p Viore LCD TV (LCD26VH56) for $249, or a 22-inch 720p LCD TV from Philips (22PFL3504D/F7) for $209.

Target
While Target offered a lot of Black Fridays specials on TVs, its Cyber Monday listings for TVs are lean. The only advertised special is a 26-inch Samsung 720p 60Hz LCD (LN26C350) for $430. But don't bother, because Amazon and Sears (see below) have it for $130 less.However, the chain prominently features several projection-based inflatable home theater systems and blow-up screens, presumably for outdoor use.

Sears
In its Cyber Monday sale, Sears is promoting a 19-inch Sansui 720p LCD/TV combo (HDLCDVD195) for $200. There's also a 26-inch Samsung 720p LCD TV (LN26C350D1DXZA) for $300. You can also get a 50-inch 720p Zenith plasma TV (Z50PJ240) for $550.

Among bigger major-brand sets, Sears has a 40-inch Samsung 1080p LCD TV (UN40C6300SFXZA) with an LED backlight for $900. The retailer also has a 55-inch Toshiba 1080p 120Hz LCD TV (55HT1U) for $1,000 (Best Buy has it for $970), plus two Mitsubishi rear-projection 3D-ready DLP sets, a 60-inch 1080p model (WD-60638) for $700 and a 73-inch set (WD-73638) for $1,500.

For those looking for a 3D set, you can choose between Samsung's 55-inch Samsung 1080p LCD with LED backlight (UN55C8000XFXZA) $2,800,or Sony's 55-inch 1080p LCD TV (KDL-55HX800) with an LED backlight for $2,200. But we've seen this set for $1,900 or less on Amazon and several other websites.

Best Buy
Best Buy has a fairly wide assosrtment of TVs in its Cyber Monday sale, kicking off with a 22-inch Dynex 720p LCD (DX-22L150A11) for $160 and 32-inch LG 1080p LCD TV (32LE5400) with 120Hz technology, Internet connectivity, and an LED backlight for $600. A sibling 32-inch set (LE5300), which lacks access to an online service, is $550. Other 32-inch sets include a Toshiba 720p model (32DT1U) for $350, and a Westinghouse 720p set (VR-3250DF) for $250. Those interested in a larger TV could consider a 40-inch Sharp 1080p/120Hz set (LC-40D78UN) for $550,or a 42-inch LG 1080p/120Hz LCD with an LED backlight (42LE5300) for $750. A 50-inch Panasonic 720p plasma (TC-P50C2) is $650, though it's $50 cheaper at Amazon.

Those looking for a very large TV can choose from Sharp's 60-inch 1080p/120Hz Aquos set (LC60E78UN) for $1,300, or two Mitsubishi rear-projection DLP TVs. Billed as 1080p 60Hz sets that are 3D-ready, a 60-inch (WD-60638) set isjust $600, and a 65-inch model (WD-65638) costs $800.

As always, you should to check around to see how a good a deal you're getting on Cyber Monday. And if TV sales this past weekend weren't enough to move inventory out of the stores, we can expect to see even better deals as we get closer to the new year.
