CES 2012: ViewSonic debuts three tablets, including $170 Android 4.0 model
Jan 10, 2012 5:30 PM

ViewSonic today announced three new tablets during the Consumer Electronics Show. The ViewPad E70 is a 7-inch model that runs Android 4.0, the latest version of Google’s operating system. Storage is not exactly hefty with 4GB of memory, but there’s a microSD slot that will allow another 32GB on a memory card. Price is $170.

Two 10-inch tablets were also added to the lineup. The ViewPad 10e is a 10-inch tablet with an older version of Android, 2.3. We’re not sure if it will have an upgrade path to Android 4.0. It’s got a capacitive touchscreen, but like the E70 just 4GB of memory with a memory-card slot. There’s no access to the Android Market, but Amazon’s Appstore is available. It’s priced at $300.

Finally, the ViewPad 10pi is a business tablet with Windows 7 as well as Android 2.3. There’s 64GB of storage and a front-facing camera for videoconferencing. Retail price is $850.
