Video: Testing pocket camcorders
Jan 17, 2012 4:30 PM

The Flip may be discontinued, but plenty of other new pocket camcorders have hit the market—some with built-in projectors, some that record 3D video, and some that claim to be both waterproof and shockproof.

Consumer Reports just tested 16 of the newest pocket camcorders, costing between $100 and $300. We test for photo and audio quality, of course, but also for ease of uploading your videos to social-media sites such as Facebook.

Take a look inside our lab to see how we test in this video, and check out our Ratings (available to subscribers) and free pocket-camcorder buying advice at ConsumerReports.org.
