NFC—near-field communication—is an easy way to pair devices and share information between them. This year, Sony has built NFC into some of its new TVs.

Sony's version works differently than that of other TVs, though: Instead of having to bring your mobile device up to the TV to share content, you can pair the mobile device to the TV's remote—and keep your couch-potato status intact!
