Buying the top-rated Samsung Galaxy S III can save you money
Mar 14, 2013 1:55 PM

The Samsung Galaxy S4 smart phone will debut this evening at a press event at Radio City Hall in New York City, much to the excitement of gadget hounds. The Galaxy S4 will undoubtedly offer dazzling new features and will probably cost $200 to $300 with a two-year service contract.

But if you need a new phone now and are a late adopter—that is, having the latest, greatest gadget isn't in your DNA—you can save some cash by choosing the Samsung Galaxy S III, a feature-filled phone that's currently among the highest-scoring models in our Ratings.

Our cell phone buying guide and Ratings can help you find the best smart phone.

With the Galaxy S4 coming, prices for the Galaxy S III have dropped significantly. Sprint and T-Mobile are selling 16GB versions for just $99 with a two-year contract—50 percent off the cost when the phone was introduced last May. Expect AT&T and Verizon to slash the price of the S III soon.
