If you take Stamina-Rx dietary supplements, you should stop immediately because it could jeopardize your health. That’s according to the Food and Drug Administration, which today announced a nationwide recall of Stamina-Rx supplements because they were found to contain an undeclared drug that is similar to erectile dysfunction medicines, such as sildenafil (Viagra), tadalafil (Cialis), and vardenafil (Levitra).
The undeclared drug –benzamidenafil—is not FDA-approved and poses a threat to consumers because it could interact with some prescription drugs that contain nitrates, such as nitroglycerin and others, that are used by people with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease. The interaction could cause blood pressure to drop to dangerous levels, the FDA said.
Back in March, we reported on a similar recall of the product Zencore Plus, that also contains benzamidenafil. The FDA advised consumers to stop using Stamina-Rx immediately.
