We’ve been covering new cooking technologies on this blog and on our Web site, including induction, the TurboChef 30” Double Wall Speedcook oven, and convection microwaves (see video, right).
So our antennae straightened when we saw infomercials for the NuWave Infrared Cooking System (below) running frequently on stations in the New York City area. The manufacturer claims the countertop appliances can save you time and energy while excelling at cooking all manner of food.

I love my NuWave oven, I can't believe how good the food tastes, I cooked a good steak and was afraid it would come out well done or to tough, it was perfect, I also baked a potato it had the taste you get from a high end restaurant, I always said how come my potato's don't taste like this, well now they do. The taste of all the food I cooked in the NuWave oven is far better than I have ever had cooking in my conventional oven. I would highly recommend the NuWave oven.

6. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? worth the money. Yes, I think it's fairly priced and worth the money.
My favorite food to cook in my NuWave oven is fried chicken. After numerous experiements, I found that thighs are best to use because they have enough fat to promote nice and crispy skin. I season and soak them in buttermilk, dredge them in flour, place them skin side down in the oven, and spray them with a little olive oil or cooking spray. I can usually get about 8 on the rack comfortably. I usually cook them (unthawed) for 20 - 25 minutes (depending on size) and turn them halfway through the cooking time. Delicious!
*I have owned my Nuwave Oven for about 8 or 9 months now.
*Well there's 7 days in a week an I use my Nuwave about 5 of them the other 2 i eat out.
*I mainly cook Steaks, BBQ Ribs, Chicken, Hotdogs, Bartwarst, an Hamburgers and Pork Chops, and NEVER have to lay them out to unthaw before i fix them either.
*As for me it's done a Great job on everything I've fixed, fixes everything nice an juicy not like other products that let all the juice's drain out. an I haven't found anything that it does a bad or poor job on. (it's amazing to watch as juice's drip off but then when you cut into or bite into a piece of meat you've fixed on it, it's still very juicy.)
*The NuWave Oven is very easy to clean

I would also like to add that the customer service of this company is amazing. They go far beyond what is normally expected. You can truly sense the pride and confidence they have in their product. They sincerely value the customer, and it shows. We love this product so much we purchased one for our daughter at Christmas.
I can't believe CRR has not posted DO NOT BUY due to deceptive sales/advertising practices.
Just go to the Better Business Bureau and you will find numerous complaints about this company.

I'm ticked. My elderly father watching TV bought this product for something like $297; Shipping&Handeling was $68.
From reading people’s claimed cooking times, I do NOT see a 50% reduction in cooking times as advertised.
Companies like this should be shut down & funds distributed to the people who bought this product through what I think are deceptive advertizing practices.
1. I have owned a NuWave oven for how long?
-- One month
2. I use my NuWave oven how many times a week?
-- Two to three. It would be more, but we cook roasts and large items that last awhile.
3. I use my oven to cook what food most frequently?
-- Steak, roasts, boneless skinless chicken breast, chicken quarters, pork tenderloin.
4. The NuWave does a great job with what food? but does a poor job with what food?
-- I have not experienced a problem with any food tried, everything has been great. Anything you'd bake, roast or broil, would be fantastic in this oven.
No, it will not give your steaks a char-grilled flavor; it has no flame and is not a bbq grill. It WILL broil/roast beautifully; browned and juicier than in a conventional oven.
No, it will not turn raw potatoes into french fries; it is not a deep fryer. It WILL heat frozen potatoes.
5. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? easy to clean.
-- Easy to clean if you don't cook on the rack. Since you have to flip food over, it doesn't seen necessary to do so, and after trying both ways, there is no difference. We don't cook fatty meats, and prefer to have pan drippings to strain and use in sauce/gravy. So, we cook everything in the small pan provided, wrapped in foil. Cleanup is just a toss of the foil and a wipe of the inner dome. If you have to use the rack, it should be done right away for easiest cleaning, and coating with a non-stick cooking spray (like "Pam") before cooking helps too.
6. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? worth the money.
-- We paid $160, and for our household, it is worth more to us than our gas oven. Your experience will vary depending on your lifestyle. Our reasons...
A. Because it's easy to use, we cook at home more instead of ordering out as often as we used to. NuWave is actually fun to cook with, because it's a gadget.
B. We hated firing up the big gas oven for just the two of us, which used to heat the house terribly and was just a chore to use. We avoided cooking roasts and chickens at home so we wouldn't heat the house, our gas stove is so bad.
C. Instead of buying frozen processed meals to heat in the microwave (we own a business and don't have a lot of time to cook), we can still cook quickly from frozen and not have to worry about what to defrost, but eat much better, healthier food that isn't as expensive as processed.
We recommended this to our own parents, and have not regretted our purchase. To be on the safe side, get an extended warranty for peace of mind. We purchased ours online with a one year extended warranty for $15 at Amazon.

5. The NuWave oven is easy to clean, but the rack doesn't stay non-stick long and MUST be lubricated with PAM spray or similar.

I have to post my comment. Perhaps I got a lemon but I bought one in the summer of 2008 and used it once. It took over 3 hours to cook 2 pork chops and I've never used it since. The only reason I never returned it is because I threw away the original box. I just can't understand how so many people could be so pleased with this oven.

Received a NuWave as a christmas gift. It is super. We use it for every
thing. Frozen chicken, turkey, steaks (the best), chops, roasts etc.
We fix fresh and frozen veggies. Baked potatoes, pizzas. Have yet to have
any thing turn out bad. Would recommend to any one. If I had to get rid
of any appliance it would be the microwave. It is a breeze to wash and
I don't spray the rack. I also purchased the extender ring and small rack and drip pan. Well worth the money. This is one appliance that is used almost daily at my home.
I bought mine at Aldi's, via there brand, Crofton, made by Magic Chef, and paid $40, + tax !!! No waiting, as I bought it, at the store.
It works great and I'm amazed on how fast it is.
Easy clean up. with detergent and water as well.
Makes graet cripsy french fries, in 15 minutes !!! I sprayed the frozen poatoes with nostick spray !!
I use mine 4 times per week !!

I have owned a nu wave oven less than a year. I use it 2-3 times a week, and am very happy with it. Mostly for grilling meat and/or heating bread. Replaced my conventional oven which is now unused. I have also gifted my sister with one. Its a great cooking equptment. However, I have not used it for frying, nor for steaming or baking since I live alone. It reduces cooking time, and one sees the food while it is being cooked. Also, easy to clean.
1. I have owned a NuWave oven for how long? 6 months
2. I use my NuWave oven how many times a week? 10-14 times a week
3. I use my oven to cook what food most frequently? neats, poultry, vegetables.
4. The NuWave does a great job with what food? Does great with all foods. but does a poor job with what food? Can't seem to get the hang of baking a cake, but I'm a diabetic, so I don't need cake.
5. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? easy to clean. Is very easy to clean. Goes in my dishwasher (all except the motor part).
6. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? worth the money. Definitely is worth the money. If mine ever goes, I'll get another in a heartbeat.
I have owned a NuWave oven for a year now.
I use my NuWave oven several times a week.
I use my oven to cook steaks, chicken, and beef.
The NuWave does a great job with almost any type of meat that I have cooked.
The NuWave oven is ver easy to clean. It normally takes me no longer than 5 minutes.
The NuWave oven is worth the money and I would highly recommend it to any of my friends.

2. I use my NuWave oven how many times a week? I USE MY OVEN APPROX. 4 TO 5 TIMES EVERY WEEK.
3. I use my oven to cook what food most frequently? i HAVE BEEN ON A DIET AND HAVE USED MY NUWAVE FOR EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE KITCHEN SINK.
4. The NuWave does a great job with what food? but does a poor job with what food?THE NUWAVE DOES A FANTASTIC JOB ON ALL MEATS AND FISH, ALTHOUGH I AM HAVING A HARD TIME STILL WITH BAKING THINGS LIKE CAKES AND BROWNIES. IF ANYONE MIGHT KNOW WHAT I MAY BE DOING WRONG, YOUR FEEDBACK IS WELCOMED.
5. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? easy to clean. THIS NUWAVE IS BY FAR THE EASIEST OVEN I HAVE EVER HAD IN REGARDS TO CLEANUP,IF I AM USING THIS OVEN FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME AND THINGS REALLY GET CAKED UP ON THE GRILL AND PAN ALL I HAVE TO DO IS SOAK THEM IN WARM SOAPY WATER A FEW MINUTES AND WA-LAH THEY'RE CLEAN.
6. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? worth the money. AT FIRST WHEN I RECEIVED MY NUWAVE OVEN I THOUGHT THE MONEY I SPENT ON THIS WAS CRAZY, BUT ONLY HAVING IT FOR 6 MONTHS NOW MY MIND HAS CHANGED, IT IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY I SPENT.
RIGHT NOW I CAN'T AFFORD TO DO WHAT I WHAT TO , BUT AS SOON AS I CAN I AM GOING TO BUY AN OVEN FOR EACH OF MY DAUGHTERS AS WELL, I KNOW THEY ARE GOING TO LOVE IT.
I bought the Nu-Wave oven-pro on sale before Easter to cook a fresh 8lb turkey breast. Tried it on a few steaks (double the cooking time), some sausage links (double the cooking time), and finally the 8lb turkey breast (should take 1 hour). After FIVE hours of cooking, the temp never went over 150 degrees. Gave up, put it in regular oven for 30 minutes to get it to 170 degrees. Returning product today. The informercial is deceptive advertising!
1. I have owned three NuWave ovens for almost a year.
2. I use my NuWave ovens five to six times a week.
3. I use my ovens to cook potatoes (baked, halves or quartered), vegetables, pork loins, steak, chicken breasts, etc. and reheat leftovers.
4. The NuWave does a great job with cuts of meat & potatoes. I haven’t cooked a huge variety of different foods to know what doesn’t work. It doesn’t work for cookies.
5. The NuWave oven is extremely easy to clean. I wouldn’t use any cooking product that would be difficult to clean, no matter how wonderful it was at cooking food.
6. The NuWave oven is definitely worth the money!
My husband thought I was crazy buying these until he started enjoying the delicious food from them. He is no longer making fun of my purchase and continues to enjoy the food I cook. We certainly have eaten better and healthier since owning ours. I have cooked for company (from two to eight people) using up to two ovens. Our company was impressed about the quality, juiciness and flavor of the meats and potatoes. Two of our guests even bought one each for themselves. When we drove from Iowa to Arizona for winter this year, I packed two along in the car and he didn’t even argue. He loved the food cooked from the NuWave down there! I gave a NuWave to my daughter for her birthday last year. Her husband thought it was a crazy idea to take up space on their counter until he used it! He also uses the NuWave for lots of convenience frozen foods (tator tots, chicken nuggets & strips, hot dogs, etc.) besides using it for potatoes, pork loins, steak, and chicken breasts. We could not be happier with our NuWave ovens. Thank You for a terrific product!
I have had my oven for 2 years
Me and my kids use it everyday of the week.
Meat and veggies are excellent.
Try brushing olive oil on them and grill for 10 minutes on the 4" rack.
If you need tons of veggies done at once you can fill the liner pan with fresh veggies and roast for about 35-40min. so much better than a regular oven !
I would not be caught without it !
1. I have owned a NuWave oven for three years
2. I use my NuWave oven two to three times a week
3. I use my oven to cook meat and pizza the most
4. The NuWave does a great job with prepared foods but does a poor job with vegetables
5. The NuWave oven isn’t easy to clean.
6. The NuWave oven is worth the money.
My oven failed after three years. The inability to clean around the heating element led to it overheating and tripping on overload. Up to the time it started doing this, I used it every week and it allowed me to fix dinner quickly.
1. I have owned a NuWave oven for about 6 months
2. I use my NuWave oven almost every day
3. I use my oven to cook packaged prepared meals, pizza, poultry, pork, steaks, vegetables
4. The NuWave does a great job with everything I have tried with the exception of baking brownies from a box mix with only one attempt, (probably my error in cooking) will try again.
5. The NuWave oven is simple to clean, with or without a dishwasher.
6. The NuWave oven is worth the money.
If you are an empty nester like my wife and I, single or a couple, this is perfect for you. Not enough surface area for a large family but you could always have more than one or prepare meals in batches. The use of parchment paper where applicable makes cleanup a breeze. It Cooks frozen food without having to defrost saving time without jeopardizing taste. I am from South Louisian and we love our Cajun food; boiled seafood, fried foods, and gravies. The Nuwave is much healthier cooking and we still enjoy a good crawfish boil occasionally.
I can't say enough good about this product. I'll put it this way, If my nuwave should break I would order a new one the same day.
Just wanted to say that at last there's a product that actually not only does what they say it will, but exceeds all my expectations. I do most ALL of my cooking with the NuWave now. It's fast, easy to clean and makes the best pizza! I've seen time and again how much grease and fat is forced out of the meats and ends up in the drip pan instead of my body. Thank you guys for creating such a needed product.

5. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? easy to clean. VERY EASY TO CLEAN
6. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? worth the money. IF I WERE RICH, I'D BUY ONE FOR EVERYONE IN MY FAMILY!
I Love this machine. I use the cookbooks and found them to be very easy and fun to do. I live aboard my boat so space is important. this has replaced my cooktop, microwave almost, skillet and slowcooker. I can't tell you how easy and fun it is to use!

The one thing I don't cook in the NuWave is a food that need to cook from the top and bottom that can't be turned halfway. Like a casserole.
great with chicken, pork roast, beef roast, cornish hen, turkey, whole hams, fish, shrimp, corn on cob, sweet rolls, cookies, left overs and almost everything else. The food cooks faster and is does not dry out. I have talked most people I know into getting one and they all love them! Best thing: cooks from FROZEN!!
5. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? easy to clean.
it is easy to clean, especially if you spray with Pam and use foil on racks and pans.

4. The NuWave does a great job with what food? Just about everything. You can even crist up left over french frys.
But does a poor job with what food? Making bread

6. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? worth the money. Good question...I think it is worth it...may buy another one...however, replacing the dome (mine cracked and from reading on-line this may be a problem) can be expensive because of shipping/handling.
The NuWave is best for frozen food.
I will us my NuWave over the oven or microwave (unless I am reheating).
I would like to get another one...we will see.
The best thing about the NuWave is that all the parts except the heating element go into the dishwasher. Unfortunately the heating element itself isn't worth a darn. If you buy this do not rely on the times the company lists for cooking, that is, unless you like chicken, fish and pork really, really rare. I mean raw in the middle. I only bought the thing because the oven in my stove died, and as my new stove will be installed next week, I will be selling the NuWave at a yard sale, under the banner "Caveat Emptor."
1. I have owned a NuWave oven for how long? 2 years
Nuwave Oven2. I use my NuWave oven how many times a week? 2 x week
3. I use my oven to cook what food most frequently? anything that usually goes in a regular oven. meat, poultry, vegetables, etc. It does not do a good job on rolls, cake, or bread.
4. The NuWave does a great job with what food? but does a poor job with what food? It does not do a good job on rolls, cake, bread or pies.
5. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? easy to clean. Because it's ackward to use, I think it is clumsy to clean.
6. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? worth the money.Over all I really like this oven ... it's well worth the price.
I love my new wave oven. The best 120.00 i have ever invested
I love the Nuwave oven. I use it about 3 times a week. I cooked a 12lb turkey in it --- 3 hours from frozen. I myself dont like white meat but a turkey in the nuwave TASTED so much juicier and tender. ONG...WAS DELICIOUS!!! Its so easy to clean, I mainly use it to cook chicken, pork and beef. Its so much better tasting. THE BEST 120.00 I HAVE EVER SPENT. I recommend it to everyone.
I have had my New Wave for 4 months now and have had to have the power head replaced 2 times. What will I do when it's not in warranty?
The fan inside the power head keeps breaking in half during use.
Looks like all these(nearly all positive)reviews came from employees of the Nuwave company. It is a piece of junk sold by snake oil hucksters.
I got the nu wave pro for christmas 2009 and i just used it for the first time made a whole pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon and it was awesome my boyfriend said it was great and everyone should own one his parent are in their 70s and he said he is buying them one as well:)))

6. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? worth the money. Defnitely worth the money.
Feel free to add more detailed comments with your answers. Thanks in advance for your time.—Gian Trotta
1. I have owned a NuWave oven for how long?2 1/2 years
2. I use my NuWave oven how many times a week? 14 times a week
3. I use my oven to cook what food most frequently? Meats-bacon, sausage, etc..
4. The NuWave does a great job with what food? but does a poor job with what food? Overall good job with most meats I have tried.
5. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? easy to clean. Easy to clean, most times.
6. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? worth the money. The cost of replacing the plastic dome yearly IS NOT worth it. I have had to replace the dome three times over the last 2 1/2 years! The dome is made with inferior material cracks after repeated use. The cracking of the dome is not based on misuse and lack of care, it is totally poorly made. The NuWave concept is great, but the manufacturer needs to use a glass dome instead of plastic.
1. I have owned a NuWave oven for how long? 1 year; Flavor Wave 3 yrs prior
Nuwave Oven2. I use my NuWave oven how many times a week? maybe 6 times
3. I use my oven to cook what food most frequently? Steaks or chicken
4. The NuWave does a great job with what food? steak, chicken and pizza
but does a poor job with what food? fried eggs
5. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? easy to clean. It is quite easy to clean if you have a large sink basin or dish washer
6. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? worth the money. It is well worth the money
I am still learning to expand repertoire for things to cook in this tool. And I am amazed and pleased with the results every time.
Cleaning grease residue from the tray and cleaning the dome are the most difficult things but they do clean well. My oven has the
dial thermostat and I do not think this one is as hot as the one with electronic switch controls. I am now thinking the revised flavor
wave with the glass bowl may be a better design.
1. I have owned a NuWave oven for about 3 years.
2. I use my NuWave oven 3-5 times a week.
3. I use my oven to cook fish and burgers most frequently.
4. The NuWave does a great job with any frozen food; I have not found a food that it does a poor job with.
5. The NuWave oven isn’t easy to clean. While the dome and liner are dishwasher safe and therefore easy to clean, the tray is very difficult.
6. The NuWave oven is worth the money. Since purchasing the NuWave, I have cooked virtually all of my meals in it. It has paid for itself!!!
How long have I had the NuWave oven? I have had it a little over 2 years. How many times do I use the oven? I use the NuWave 5 to 7 times a week. I use my oven to cook baked potatoes, fries, burgers, steak, sauage, and toast. It does a great job with all the foods I have tried. The Nuwave dome is fairly easily to clean. I have only washed mine by hand. I received my NuWave for Christmas. I would say it is worth the money except for one thing. The dome cracked after 2 years of use. When you call the company, you have to pay $15.00 plus $9.95 S&H for a refurbished dome. It will cost you almost $25.00 to replace the dome. I love my NuWave but I do not want to have to replace the dome every time I turn around. I hope the company will replace the dome with a better one, perhaps a glass one would be better.
My father sent me my nuwave oven as a gift. He called me and told me that he had purchased this modern cooking marvel from an add that he had seen on TV. I thought to myself " Great another infomercial gadget that will not perform as advertised". I have been pleasantly surprised. The oven does everything that it says and then some.I use my new wave daily, there is not a meal that I cook that does not somehow involve it's use. From making sun dried tomatoes to roasting veal bones for Demi Glace, roasted chicken and Cuban pork loin for sandwiches. you name it the does it and does it well.
owned: 6 monthS
used to use: once a week
for: chicken
cleaning: easy
reliability: poor
quality: poor
other: turns itself off randomly due to faulty thermal protection
worth it: Absolutely NOT!
All the astroturfing on this product makes me sick, you can tell all the reviews are paid for or are employees because the all use the alternate caps for NuWave. An average customer would just spell nuwave.... easy to spot but very sickening farce.
Dear Ladies & Gentlemen,
1. I own a NuWave oven since 4 years 2006.
2. I use my NuWave oven 3 to 5 times a week.
3. I use my oven to cook all food, i.e., cakes, meats, fish, pasta, veggies, breads, pitas, chicken, turkey, etc.
4. The NuWave does a great job with all food, see above items, but does a poor job with soups.
5. The NuWave oven isn’t easy to clean but you get use to it.
6. The NuWave oven is big time worth the money since it is now available in wholesales with 2-year warranty, etc., better then the MFR.
7. My glass dome cracked once and the MFR. replaces it for free when you have the warranty.
8. Energy saving approximately by $ 50 per month.
9. I used it outdoors, very well, too.
10. I had company at my house, few more then I had expected, but this oven helped me out my dilemma very good. In no time the missing food were served in short time.
11. Office parties, this is the Renner and on top it does the job.
12. We are thinking to upgrade to the newest and better version.
13. There is another type on the market now with a glass bowl and does the same as the NuWave oven incl. soups.
Sincerely Yours
Marina & Christian
This is one of the "BEST" products put on the market since sliced bread~!!! Hands down - it IS A WINNER~!!!
1. I have owned a NuWave oven for how long? Since it was released on to the market for consumers to purchase.
2. I use my NuWave oven how many times a week? EVERY DAY~!!! This is NO joke. I do "not" even have a regular standard range or stove in my home. Instead, I have a NuWave and "that" IS my cook stove and I "like" it that way~!!! It gives me more space in my kitchen for cabinets. My power bill is "less" since it doesn't heat up kitchen in summer and uses less energy in winter that also helps keep the power bill down. In addition, I have more time to do other things besides "cooking". I like good food, but I'm not a gourmet chef and I don't enjoy spending "unnecessary" time in the kitchen and particularly standing over a hot stove~!!!
3. I use my oven to cook what food most frequently? My oh my~!!! ALL our meats are cooked in the NuWave. DON'T use any other source to cook them -- not even an outdoor gas or charcoal Bar-B-Que Grill. I don't do gas anything given the sulfur allergy I have which all gas contains that gives it the characteristic odor. Besides, the NuWave is far more convenient and easier to clean too.
4. The NuWave does a great job with what food? but does a poor job with what food? GREAT JOB with ALL foods I use it for. Have NOT found "any" foods that it did not do a good job with. I even cook eggs in it. I bake cookies, pies, cakes, biscuits, as well as every kind of meat we decide on, including oysters in the half shell, you name it. I cook both frozen and thawed or fresh meats. I cook veggies in it sometimes, although most of the time, I cook the veggies in the microwave at the same time the meat is cooking in the NuWave and ALL is ready about the same time --- matter of minutes usually. I cook hams as well as turkeys in it and including seafoods. The one thing that consumers need to remember with the NuWave is that "IF" cooking a frozen meat particularly --- back the heat down some and cook it a little longer. This "never" fails me to come out with a perfect dish~!!! Quite often, just as with any cooking device where heat is used, I add just a little water in the bottom of the pan as this helps to keep the heat from having a tendency to make things a little dryer, unless that is the way you prefer it. I have yet to ever throw out a single thing I have cooked in the NuWave that was not good and edible. Like I said --- the best thing since sliced bread.
5. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? easy to clean. EASY EASY to clean~!!! A whole LOT easier than a conventional oven or stove top to clean. Also a benefit "if" you have parrots or other birds who are sensitive to teflon and the fumes that conventional oven put out from cleaners and the self-cleaning actions, which can and sometimes does kill them. NO threats to them with the NuWave. Please keep this in mind, if you have parrots or plan to get them --- Teflon cookware should NEVER be used with them in the home~!!!
6. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? worth the money. OMG YES~!!! It is absolutely WORTH every penny it costs. I will NEVER be without one in my kitchen to cook my foods with so long as they are being sold on the market, new and or used~!!!
If anyone reading this needs or wants to know how to successfully prepare a particular food, I will be glad to offer my personal tips at NO costs to them. NO, I am NOT any paid person to promote this product nor do I nor any relatives work for the company that makes it. I'm just a common wife and mother who uses this every day, have for years, and "will" continue to do so for years to come. :o)
THANKS NuWave for a wonderful product~!!!
Sincerely,
Gail & Family
I have owned a NuWave oven for how long? 1 year and 10 months

3. I use my oven to cook what food most frequently? Fries, steaks, ribs, empanadas, chicken anything that can be done in the oven, trusted w/ thanksgiving turkey
4. The NuWave does a great job with what food? but does a poor job with what food? Great job on meat, terrib;e on cakes
5. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? easy to clean. easy to cleanin the dishwasher
6. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? worth the money. Worth every penny..my favorite toy
After reading almost all the comments I am not supprised that most folks are pretty pleased with this product. I think this is the best product I ever bought off the TV. In fact, I cant think of another item that I bought off the TV (with the exception of the swivel sweeper) that I wasnt sorry later. I have pretty much sworn off buying from infomercials all together. Now, I must say after reading these comments that I am not related in any way, nor do I work for NewWave Co. With that being said, I think this product would be perfect for college dorm rooms, studio apartment situations and the like, campers & RV's, boats and of course any counter top. At first I thought it to be huge and taking up too much space but after using it I realized it was well worth it. You can crisp up stuff you would normally fry or bake like frozen fries or appetizers of most any kind. Just get them out as soon as its done (while its crisp). If you leave it in too long steam will form and it might be less crisp. I recently tried a brownie mix in the big bottom pan which came out darn good. For my first time trying to bake anything I thought it worked fine. I had no idea you could bake with it til the recent infomercials came out for the newer model, so I tried it and will be trying some jiffy cornbread next. Meat comes out great even if you overcook it. Juicy and tender. We use it for chicken, pork, any type of sausage or dogs ,potatoes, veggies marinated with various dressings. (I just ate some grouper which was cooked under the zucchini which I marinated in some tomato, roasted red pepper and basil dressing and it was absolutely fantastic!) This was my first try at grilled veggies and I will be doing more soon. Its so much healthier and really tasty. Just experiment. I dont think I can remember cooking anything that I was displeased with. Leftovers warm up better than the micro. If you see one of these at the flea market or a garage sale trust me its worth it and after using it a few times you will realize that you got a great deal. I must say I feel sorry for the folks that got a bummer unit from the company because I am sure they would be impressed if they got one like mine. (3 years or so) Thanks to everyone for their ideas and recipies posted here and yes I paid full price and even bought the extender ring which I only used once but it all was most definately worth every penny.
By the way I think its easy to clean and when its my turn to cook it makes me look like a better cook than I really am! Kudos to NewWave!
1. I have owned a NuWave oven for how two months.
2. I use my NuWave oven about three times a week.
3. Most frequent use is to cook frozen salmon, chicken breasts, talapia.
4. The NuWave does a great job with frozen foods, allowing us to go from freezer to table in 20 - 30 minutes.
5. The NuWave oven is very easy to clean. For most foods, we use aluminum foil on the top rack, meaning the foil and the bottom tray are spotless when we are done - all we have to do is throw away the aluminum foil and wipe the inside of the dome with windex and paper towel.
6. The NuWave oven is definitely worth the money for us, since we never cooked before, and now we have great food!
Is the Nuwave Oven worth purchasing if you are a vegetarian?
1. I have owned a NuWave oven for how long? ONE week
2. I use my NuWave oven how many times a week? Every day for ONE week
3. I use my oven to cook what food most frequently? Meats
4. The NuWave does a great job with what food? Meats but does a poor job with what food? Pumpkin pie
5. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? easy to clean. Is
6. The NuWave oven is/isn’t? worth the money. Isn't worth it in my opinion. One week to the day after receiving mine it started making a terrible noise and I'm afraid to use it any longer so will be sending it back next week for a refund. Unfortunately, the company I bought it from is making me pay the return shipping to send back a faulty product which I feel is very unfair.
I've had my Nuwave Pro Oven for 6 weeks.
I use it everyday at least once.
I've cooked steaks, a whole chicken, even meatballs on the rack.
Cooks quickly with no problem.
When I first used it, it did have a plastic smell that I was concerned about. But that is no longer a problem. I can even use my meat thermometer.
I love it!!
1. I have owned a NuWave oven for over 5 years. I just bought a second one, though my first one is still going strong.
2. I use my NuWave oven every day, sometimes more than once a day.
3. I use my oven to cook mostly shrimp, fish and chicken. Though steak is great in there too.
4. The NuWave does a great job with chicken, perfect every time. I have cooked tons of different foods in the NuWave. I have not run into an issue yet with how the food comes out.
5. The NuWave oven is super easy to clean. Either wash it by hand or toss it into the dishwasher (not the head).
6. The NuWave oven is totally worth the money. I would not have bought a second one if it wasn't. Honestly. I dropped my first one about 2 years after I bought it. The dome cracked, but never separated. So I kept using it. There has never been an issue. It still works like a charm. Now that's a well made product.
1. I have owned a NuWave oven for 3 months.
2. I use my NuWave oven 3 times a week.
3. I use my oven to cook all my frozen meats from Omaha Steaks.
4. The NuWave does a great job with all my meats and veggies. I have not tried to bake with it.
5. The NuWave oven is easy to clean.
6. The NuWave oven is worth the money.
Buy one you'll love it!
