According to the CPSC, the grills pose fire and burn hazards—burners on the grill can deteriorate and the lids of some models can catch fire. As of the recall date, Perfect Flame had received about 40 reports of fires from the burners deteriorating and about 23 reports of the lids catching fire.
Recalled models include the SLG2006B, SLG2006BN, SLG2006C, SLG2006CN, SLG2007A, SLG2007B, SLG2007BN, SLG2007D, SLG2007DN, and SLG2008A (shown).

we bought a perfect flame gas grill from lows in june of 08. we were using it christmas and the whole upper part of the grill caught on fire. i took the gas bottle from below the grill making sure the it did not explode. after checking the source of the problem one of the burners had rusted through on one end. we tried taking the burner off to replace it and the screw that held it in would not come loose. the place where the burner was attached to the main part of the grill was completely rusted through. we now have no place to attach the new burner. there are more parts on this grill that are also showing bad signs of rust. this grill has been under a roof so it has not been exposed to rain. I picked up your magazine a couple of weeks ago and saw the article on this brand of grill. I called the number and they said model 720-0522 was not under the recall. has there been anyone else with this same model with this problem? thank you for your help
Yes I have the same model and one of my burners crack and shoot a flame up that almost burnt my face off!!! One site I read said this grill replaced the slg2007A and this grill was on recall as well.. I'm call tomorrow and giving someone shit !! Two just two years old bouth the High dollar cover for it and this pos lasted less than the hunk of crap I paid 299!! It lasted 5 years and only became ugly !! it didn't blow up in my face..
Mine did the same thing. Luckily it did shoot up in my face. Just took it apart and there a giant piece missing in the main burner. I bought this thing less 2 years ago. Bet they aren't counting the number of complaints on this model. I'll check if Consumer Reports wants to take a look at mine if that helps. Glad I checked this site.
