2010 International Builders' Show Product Preview: Kohler Archer One-Piece Toilet
Jan 22, 2010 1:06 PM
Some of the low-flow models we tested for our latest report on toilets were less-than-stellar performers. But water shortages and price increases for water make low-flow toilets and the possible savings they can deliver appealing.

Kohler's one-piece Archer toilet uses a canister (instead of the usual flapper) and a wide trap way that the manufacturer claims will improve flushing performance. And since the Archer is a gravity-fed model, it's should be quieter than pressure-assisted toilets.

In the video (right) Bob Markovich, editor of the Consumer Reports Home franchise, checks out the Archer.
