2010 International Builders' Show Product Preview: Lumber Liquidators' Tranquility Resilient Flooring

Lumber Liquidators Tranquility Vinyl Flooring
Lumber Liquidators' Tranquility vinyl flooring.
Given its name, flooring retailer Lumber Liquidators probably doesn't come to mind when you think of vinyl flooring. But as evidenced by the Tranquility vinyl line it unveiled at last week's International Builders' Show, the company has gone beyond hardwood flooring as well as hardwood-look laminates.

Like other vinyl flooring, Lumber Liquidators' Tranquility resilient vinyl flooring can be installed over a wood subfloor on any level of the house. The 4x36-inch preglued planks come in seven colors (mahogany is shown), cost 89 cents to $1.29 per square foot, and are backed by a 25-year warranty. Lumber Liquidators says the flooring is water resistant, making it a good choice for the kitchen or bathroom. Tranquility flooring is available at Lumber Liquidators retail locations but not on the company's Web site.

At the Builders' Show, Lumber Liquidators also demonstrated its free Floor Finder iPhone app, which allows you to view flooring samples, check out specs and installation requirements, and get current flooring pricing.
