Marvin IZ3 Ultimate Casement Window
Marvin's IZ3 can withstand up to 140-mph winds.

With its new IZ3 windows, Marvin Windows and Doors has added hurricane protection to its Ultimate Casement line. "IZ3" refers to Impact Zone 3, which according to international building codes designates products that underwent extensive air and water-leakage testing and have been certified to withstand winds up to 140 miles per hour.

Available in several design options and in sizes up to 36 inches wide by 96 inches tall, the IZ3 casement windows can also mimic the look of a double-hung window; a folding handle blends in with window treatments.

The IZ3 windows also have a "wash mode," which allows you to clean the window fully from inside your home. You swing the window all the way open and then pull it across toward the lock to get at the exterior glass, according to Marvin.

And on the energy-efficiency front, the IZ3 casement windows come with low-E-II insulating glass with argon, which the company claims will keep heat inside in the winter and out in the summer.
