House passes DTV delay; bill headed to Obama

A week after failing to pass legislation that would delay the transition date to digital television, the House on Wednesday voted 264-158 in favor of pushing the mandatory switch over to June 12.
After the initial bill failed on a procedural vote in which a 2/3 majority was needed, the Senate sent similar legislation back to the House, where it passed in a floor vote that requiring only a simple majority.
