The New York Times today published an amusing article in their Music section about "complaint choirs": groups of people who assemble in public places to air their grievances to music. Apparently, it's an art form that crosses cultural lines; choirs have performed in locales from Helsinki to Singapore to Philadelphia to Tokyo. The article doesn't delve into whether audiences appreciate these choirs, but apparently they're quite cathartic for participants.
If you're looking for more than self-expression from your complaints, check out Consumer Reports' advice on how to complain successfully. We offer suggestions on who to address, and where to go for specific complaints. Also, check out our sister Web site, The Consumerist, which does a great job of airing consumer complaints, much to the chagrin of the companies mentioned.
