Retailers are finding ways to make your shopping experience more convenient, by integrating their online and brick and mortar operations. Some retailers let you buy a product from their website, and then pick it up in the store that same day (if at that time, the product is in stock at the store location).

Several retailers that are currently offering this convenience just in time for the holidays include, Best Buy, hhgregg, Microcenter, P.C. Richard & Son, Sears, and Walmart.

Sam's Club also offers you the option to purchase from its website and pick up at one of its store locations. If you place your order online before 5 p.m., you can pick up the item on the following day.

If you have multiple outlets of the same retailer in your area, make sure you designate pickup at the right one, and check the retailer's policy or FAQ to see what you need to bring in order to pickup, such as proper ID and a printout of the email notification saying your item is ready.

The above retailers offer the added benefit of getting your items soon after buying them online, but many retailers let you purchase something from their website and have it shipped to the store. Shipping is often free with this option, and you skip the hassle of making sure someone's home to sign for your package delivery. Check retailers' websites to see if you can ship to a brick-and-mortar location near you. Many stores are now offering the option, including hhgregg, Radio Shack, and Walmart, to name just a few.
