Come on, give the guy a break. In all the years I have watched this show I have never seen Jon do anything that would come close to harming his children. I agree small children should not ride ATVs. However, where were they riding? On their property? It doesn't look like they were moving too fast (or at all). Why make him the scape goat for something fathers all over the world do? I am sure he was extremely careful. I have watched him with his children since the show began. The man is a remarkable father. The love he feels for his children is unmistakable. He has remained gentle, patient and softspoken throughout the years. Has he made mistakes...of course. Which person/parent hasn't? I know you're using him as an example of what not to do,however, you should temper it with highlighting some of the many thing he has done right. I am really tired of this man being beaten up in the press day after day.

I agree, he has been villainized enough. The media has been using him to sell their articles and he is really a victim of the journalists' who mainly make him the bad guy to sell there work. Give him & us a break and find a new villain and let him get back to being a parent in private. I have watched the show as well, and he is a great parent. I like the point Karen made that he is a "gentle, patient & softspoken" parent. Enough is ENOUGH.

lets face it, soft spoken jon has become greedy unfit parent, without kate to manage him he's become a witless jerk! I would never let my kids around one of those things, let alone allow them to drive one, you wouldn't put your 5 year old on your lap while at the driving wheel while you drove the car. Would you? Admit, Jon is doing a stupid thing, be objective about it.

Wow, this is backwards. Kate is the media hound, not Jon. Is it his fault if photographers want to capture his every move? From one episode:

Kate: “I’m loving what we’re doing so we just have to figure it out.”
Jon: “Yeah it’s really difficult, for me, on my end.”
Kate: “And I’m very happy.”
Jon: “So there you go, there’s your conflict.”

It's b/c of Kate and her unwillingness to get over it all that they are divorcing.

I'm with Eric and Karen i.e

1. Where are your ATV Ratings? I want to use one for some work pulling pieces of tree out from along a rivr bank.

2. Don't make that guy a scapegoat for some people who will use the ATVs the wrng way. Even if there are a whole lot of people who use them the wrong way to some they are a necessary tool.
