Master Forge grills sold at Lowe's recalled because of fire hazard
Jan 7, 2010 4:29 PM
Grill_Recall Given the drifting snow and bitter cold across the country, we’re guessing that most people aren’t outdoors grilling this week. Just as well, as Sagittarius Sporting Grills has just recalled 10,000 Master Forge five-burner gas grills sold at Lowe's.

The flexible rubber hose on the LP gas tank can come in contact with the burner box, causing the hose to melt and rupture when the grill is lit. The firm is aware of two complaints, with no injuries or property damage.

The name “Master Forge” is on the grill hood, and the model number L3218 is in a label inside the left front door. The grills, which were imported from China by LG Sourcing, Inc. of North Wilkesboro, N.C., were sold at Lowe’s stores from September 2009 though November 2009 for about $500.

Consumers should stop using the grills immediately and contact Sagittarius for a free repair kit. Call (800) 444-6742.
