Recall: A sharp wind (chime)
February 11, 2010 12:55 PM
TinyLoveWindchimes_Recall The soothing effects of a wind chime aren’t so soothing once baby has pulled it apart and found the sharp metal rods that were supposed to hold it together. Tiny Love of New York, N.Y. and the Maya Group of Huntington Beach, Calif. have recalled 625,000 wind chime toys in the U.S. and 156,000 in Canada  after they received five reports of babies pulling them apart.

The chimes were sold at Toys 'R' Us, Walmart, Target, Buy Buy Baby and TJ Maxx stores nationwide from February 2002 through February 2010. They were sold separately, as well as with the Gymini Kick & Play Activity Gym, and with Tiny Smarts Gift Sets. The toy produces the sound of a wind chime and comes in a variety of shapes, including fish, a duck and a bunny.

If you have one, take it away from your baby immediately and call Tiny Love at (888) 791-8166 for details on receiving a free replacement (press "0" to speak to a rep). You can also log on to the company’s Web site to see pictures of the recalled products and fill out a form for a return authorization.
