Recall: Fisher-Price toy wagons can cut little hands
Jul 28, 2011 12:00 PM

Fisher-Price, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, and Health Canada announced today a recall of nearly 211,000 Little People Builders Load 'n Go Wagons in the U.S. and Canada. The handle on the little toy wagons pose a laceration hazard if a child falls on it.

The CPSC and Fisher-Price are aware of seven reports of injuries, including five reports of children requiring surgical glue or stitches.

This recall involves the Fisher Price's Little People Builders Load 'n Go Wagon model with a yellow handle sold at retailers from June 2009 through July 2011. The product, model number P8977, includes multi-colored plastic blocks and a dog figure. Wagons with green handles are not included in this recall.

Consumers with the faulty wagons should immediately take the toy away from children and contact Fisher-Price (800-432-5437, www.service.mattel.com) for instructions on how to obtain a free repair kit.

More information about this recall can be found on the official websites for the CPSC and Health Canada agencies.
