The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for gel fuels made by 2 Burn of Milwaukee and distributed by Evergreen Enterprises in Richmond, Va. As with recent similar recalls, these gel fuels pose burn and fire hazards when poured over a lit fire pot.

This current recall involves 23,400 bottles of gel fuel sold for about $10 to $12 at retailers from December 2010 to September 2011. The bottles' labels may read "Fireside," "Gel Fuel," "Evergreen" and "Flag & Garden." The recalled gel fuels can be further identified by:

Name of product Size Model Number UPC
Fireside Gel Fuel
30-ounce (case of 12)
5G001
746851581199
Fireside Gel Fuel-Citronella
30-ounce (case of 12)
5G002
746851581205

According to the CPSC, there have been no reports of injuries or fires from the recalled gel fuels. However, as with the recent recalls of similar fuels from Marshall Gardens, Bird Brain and various other manufacturers, consumers are urged to stop using the gel fuels and contact the company for a full refund.

Consumers can reach Evergreen Enterprises via telephone (toll-free:877-558-151) and online at its website: www.MyEvergreen.com.
