The U.S Food and Drug Administration has issued a safety recall of 12-ounce bottles of Tejava Premium Iced Tea sold nationwide. Certain lots of the bottled beverage may contain glass fragments which could be harmful if swallowed by consumers.
There have been no reports of injuries or illness so far, says the FDA.
The bottles of Tejava ice tea were sold by the case (UPC: 6-54871-24901-2), four-bottle package (UPC: 6-54871-04901-1) and individually (UPC: 6-54871-00901-5). The production lot codes, printed on the back of the bottles' label and on the cases, affected by this safety recall are:

- 1BT255

- 1BT278
- 1BT279
- 1BT280
- 1BT313
Consumers who have these bottles of iced tea are asked to return them to the store of purchase for a refund, replacement coupon or store credit.
The FDA also notes 1-liter size bottles of Tejava Premium Iced Tea are not affected or part of this recall.
