Tumblekins Toys are being recalled by International Playthings LLC of Parsippany, NJ. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the toys can break into small pieces with sharp points, posing choking and cut dangers to children.
The company has received one report of a toy breaking, but no injuries have been reported. Still, the CPSC warns that parents should take the recalled toys away from children immediately and contact International Playthings (800-445-8347) to receive a free replacement toy.
The recall involves about 31,000 Tumblekins wooden toy vehicles and playsets painted in bright colors. The toys range from 6 to 12 inches long and 4 to 9-1/2 inches tall. Manufactured in China, the playthings were sold at juvenile product stores, mass merchandisers and other stores nationwide and on various websites from March 2011 through December 2011 for between $14 and $35.
"Tumblekins," "Made in China" and manufacturing code "171111461502" or "346101461502" are printed on the toys. The item number and UPC are printed on the toy's packaging.
